Identification of audience

The main readers that will listen to our band will be Kerrang! readers. these readers are avid rock fans that love all kind of genres of rock. they all seem to like the same things, they all like to be a little bit different from the norm of society and like to have their own community where they can do what they want and wear different things than most "normal" people. they love internet, skateboarding, tattoos, bands, fashion and they have massive fan bases on the internet, websites such as twitter and tumblr. 

the girl readers love bands, the merch the bands sell, gigs having their hair all different colours etc.

the boys seem to mainly love clothes, going to gigs, skateboarding, tattoos, stretched ears etc.

as you can see these seem to match the stereotypical rock image although these fans arent as old as heavy metal fans that support metallica, iron maiden but instead are a bit younger and prefer the younger bands and like to get attached with the members. 

here is an ideal boy fan of our band, as you can see he has tattoos, likes skating, has stretched ears and is classed as a rock-ish kid. he is probably near the oldest age of our fans but most of the kids that would come to our gigs would be looking like this. 

here is an ideal girl fan that would like our band, as you can see she is coming over as a bit of a rebellious girl, smoking, has facial piercing, vans shoes and is at the perfect age where they fangirl over bands and buy Kerrang! every week. 

As they are students they might not have jobs so the majority of them tend to save up for bands they really love and spend the money on gigs and the bands merchendise. they dont want to be spending loads on gigs though so are looking to go to gigs that are affordable. if they really love the band and if the band is pretty big they will happily pay the high prices as these bands become a lot to them. these people have music as a massive part of their lives will spend the majority of money that they get on music. 

Logos

The logo we have designed for our band Accident & Emergency looks like this:

                                     

we have designed quite a unique logo and one that instantly jumps out at you and you know what it represents. we have used only black and white colours as we think it adds a dark but also classy finish. we have made the "A" into a guitar symbolise the rock in our band and around the edges we have made it very rough and jagged which also represents the character of the band which is a rock band that doesnt really care about anything other than playing music and touring. 

here below is the logo of a band called Of Mice & Men which are a band in the same genre as us. they also have a "&" in their name and have decided to use this symbol to represent their whole image. they have used a simple yellow "&" sign inside a black circle. its a bi more simple as ours but jumps out and is very clear what it is. 

here is the logo for a band called Sleeping With Sirens. these are also in the same genre as us but instead of having an image they have used a font. the font that they used for their logo is ITC Lubalin Graph Demi. its very simple and is all in capitals which instantly shouts out to you the name of the band when you see it. 

A Day To Remember analysis

1. The star band that i am analysing is A Day To Remember, these are a 5 piece american rock band from Ocala, Florida. The band members are Jeremy (vocals), Josh (bass), Neil (rhythm guitar and backing vocals), Kevin (guitar) and Alex (drums). they were founded in 2003 and since then have been massive. They are mainly known for their unusual amalgamation of metalcore and pop punk as a musical style. 

2. In their earliest videos which was around 2 years ago they released a song called "have faith in me" and here is the video. 

in this video the 5 members of the band are all in this one dark room playing the song live. they are all wearing black to show them being quite dark and to also show how the song genre and their songs are. also though they have mixed into the video a little love story between this boy and a girl. this is to show that their lyrics mean something and that their music has a purpose unlike other musicians that just write random stuff. this music can relate to people and you can partly see that in the video. as this was their first video as well, they are showing a lot of close ups of each of the members to get the public knowing which ones are which and what they look like.
